1865, folded letter sent from TORINO 18 MAGG 64 to Locarno/Switzerland and franked with a horzontal pair of ”15 C. blue” (Sassone no. L18 e), showing a severe downwards shift in perforation at bottom, thus creating stamps which are approx. 2 mm taller than normal, which is immediately visible to the naked eye as well, otherwise all of the normal postmarks are present on both front and back, rarity and major new discovery, ass the Sassone-Catalogue mentions that only one used single and two singles on covers are know showing this variety, thus making this pair of cover the only multiple know of this variety, expertise G. 1865, ”20 auf 15 C. mattblau in Type II” als waag. Paar auf Falbrief von TORINO 18 MAGG 64 nach Locarno/Schweiz in sehr guter und frischer Erhaltung. Die Frankatur hat durch versetzten Kammschlag 2 mm Übergröße, diese Abart ist auch bei den Urmarken bekannt und im Sassone entsprechend bewertet.
