BLOOD & CO. 1854: Two covers both with Blood's Penny Post (1c) bronze on lilac, acid tied, in combination with US 3c, one 1856 to Prattville, Ala. with 3c imperf., the other with 3c perf. 1857 to Bristol, R.I. both tied by black town cds, small black ”BLOOD'S DESPATCH...” cds alongside.The earlier one reduced at left and small portion of lateral backflap missing, but still a fine pair.
