1868, COMBINED INDIAN AND GB FRANKING, cover from Calcutta to London and redirected to Twickenham, franked by 1865 India 2a. yellow and 1866 4a. green tied by numeral "B/1" in blue and additional handstamp. Additionally franked by GB Victoria, 1d. lake-red (Plate 71) tied "LONDON/MY 15/68"-"EC/74" duplex to complete the correct postage rate (6 annas) and sent to Twickenham, red London PAID dater on front, and arrival cds on the reverse, backstamped red "CALCUTTA INDIA PAID/...". This cover was handstamped "VIA BOMBAY" and "VIA SOUTHAMPTON", these were crossed out later when the cover was sent from London to Twickenham. An attractive and scarce mixed franking.
