1850/1947 (ca.), interesting postal history collection of the Indian Feudatory State of HYDERABAD in two albums with about 160 FRANKED COVERS and 78 STAMPLESS COVERS which includes 48 documents with large black negative seals but also 5 pre-stamp entire letters showing a scarce negative oval handstamp in red and two early pre-stamp envelopes send via the british p.o. The 160 FRANKED COVERS start with the 1870 issue including a RARE cover franked with SG 2+3 1880 reprints (sold by SG in 1980 for 100£); good shade SG 23c bloc of four on cover; SG 36e very fine IMPERFORATED PAIR on postal stationery envelope (SG £400 x5 = £ 2000); SG 34b very fine IMPERFORATED BLOCK OF FOUR on postal stationery envelope (SG 320 x5 = £ 1600). Some better postmarks like ”EXPERIMENTAL PO 171”; interesting postal stationeries including one with official overprint; or a registered letter postal stationery envelope with SCARCE RED OVERPRINT; various cover with OFFICIAL STAMPS; mixed frankings with British India etc... The quality is as usual from mixed condition to very fine. (A2)
