1929 BISECTED 1 FRANC cancelled by ”NYOMBÉ 14. JANV. 29” cds on cover to Bonaberi. Manuscript ”MANQUES DE FIGURINES - LE RECEVEUR” + signature. The use of a bisected 1Fr. was probably due to a shortage of stamps which lasted for a period of around 4 days in January 1929. Reverse side arrival cds ”BONABERI 14. JAN 29 CAMEROUN” A requisition for the needed stamps would have been sent to the p.o in Bonaberi and subject to the train timetable making an earliest delivery of 4 days. A manuscript surcharge 0,50 is also known on a further bisect from NYOMBÉ. A VERY RARE PROVISIONAL USAGE.
