Newspaper tax stamp, 1854, 2 soldi, with EXTREMELY RARE TÊTE-BÊCHE in a vertical strip of four, the two top stamps are printed on the correct ungummed side, the two lower stamps are printed on the gummed side ! and these two also show a double print one being albino. Extremely fine. Mentioned in Vaccari catalogue as 2b „doppio impronta di cui una a secco“ but unrecorded as tête-bêche with this variety. POSSIBLY UNIQUE.
