The letter was charged 11 pence on delivery in London. The Forwarder - a reverent at the St. George Cathedral - stuck a label with the final address to the letter and pepaid the postage of 6 pence to destination. SHIP LETTER SIDNEY AP 17 1864 arrival on reverse. The ”London” label was seperated from the letter for display, but glue traces on the letter and offsets from the postal marks on the back of the label indicate clearly the origin of the label.
