The centerpiece consists of ca.75 handwritten letters covering the period 1842-1848, included are documents signed by Thomas Robert Bugeaud, Marshal of France and Governor-General of Algeria, original letters from various military leaders, messages concerning about the activities of the most popular wartime enemy Emir Abdelkader and many other interesting documents. In addition several travel documents ”Feuille de Route” of french soldiers in Algeria 1840s and extensive dossiers about the french Medeah Expeditions 1830-1840, which paved the way for the conquest by France.
