1941, Express letter to VIENNA (with full contents) franked at front with 2 on 4D ultramarine (Michel 42) of 1941 Provisional Surcharges, seldom seen on cover, and 0.50K blackish-blue (Michel 48u) of 1941 Pictorials, the balance of the franking at back (used as seals), 3D lilac-brown (Michel 14) and 5D deep blue (Michal 16) of 2nd Croatian Provisionals, tied by three strikes of “ZAGREB 2/ 18/ 22.IX.41”, at front, old style bilingual red/white “Exprès” label (Cyrillic text undisturbed), opened by German censors, re-sealed with “Geöffnet” white label, tied at front by large “Geprüft” cachet in red, “WIEN” receiving and distributing pmks alongside. Wonderful example of the correct rate of 10.50 Kn paid with three issues including the very scarce Surcharged Provisional.
