1855-56, 5c brown-red second London printing by Perkins, Bacon & Co., the stamp with three largins margins, left side barely touching frameline, on EL from Santiago to France. The adhesive tied to cover by a single strike of the mute four-ring postmark with circular datestamp alongside SANTIAGO/CHILE/29 NBRE/55 and showing boxed red accounting mark FOREIGN COUNTRIES/ART 20, which is very scarce and was in use only in 1856 (according to van der Linden only three pieces known). Extremely fresh and fine, with Sismondo photo cert.
1855-56, 5 c. braunrot, 2. Londoner Druck von Perkins, Bacon & Co., nur links gering lupenrandig, sonst an drei Seiten gute Ränder, auf Brief von Santiago nach Frankreich. Die Frankatur mit stummem Vierringstempel entwertet, daneben roter SANTIAGO CHILE/29 NBRE/55 und sehr seltener Verrechnungsstempel FOREIGN COUNTRIES/ART 20 (nach v. d. Linden sind nur drei Abschläge registriert!). Wunderbar frischer und feiner Brief, ausführliches Fotoattest Sismondo.
