Artbauer. Sent from Tripolis to the editors of a newspaper in Vienna mentioning the trip to Morocco.
Note:
Otto Cesar Artbauer (1878 - 1916) was an Austrian explorer travelling greater parts of North Africa and the Levant. From 1902 he traveled to Turkey, Syria, Mesopotamia (Iraq), Arabia, Sudan, Morocco and other countries in North Africa. He carried out these trips on behalf of scientific associations. He published the results of his travels and anthropological work in the form of lectures and specialist publications. He was a member of the Geographical Society in Vienna, the Hungarian Society in Budapest, the Natural Sciences Orient Association, the Photographic Society in Vienna and the German Colonial Society in Berlin. The emperor partly financed these expeditions as did the Akademie der Wissenschaften and the Education Ministry. Very fine and of which ONLY VERY FEW ARE KNOWN.
