1927, POSTAL STRIKE / CIVIL WAR, lot of three covers from Shanghai to Germany, due to the run up to civil war the chinese labor movement organized strikes in Shanghai, therefore chinese post offices were closed and mail was alternatively transported. The above 3 covers from March 1927 were sent by the British Fieldpost and franked with british stamps, one cover with cds FIELD POST OFFICE, 26 MR 27, on reverse transit cds HONG-KONG. Inside the covers typewritten letters with interesting contemporary messages of these historic events. R!
