1886-1925, phantastic collection with a heavy focus on the Mols issue, and here again on the 'Des Princes' prints. The collection contains many high value items which could easily be sold off separately but we feel that the integrity of the collection should not be altered. The collector's focus was on high values and so there is a strong run of the 5 Francs Congo State, with a fine mint block of four and others described with varieties and errors. There is also a good run of the 10 Francs paddle steamer, an unadopted essay in the design of 3.50 Francs. Further there is a pair of the 10 Francs imperforate, as well as a 12:14 perfed 10 Francs in mint and used. Then the Des Princes issue is complete mint (25 Cents no gum). The 10 Francs is also contained in mint with a double overprint, as are of course a number of the stern wheel variety from the Des Princes tirage. The 1 Franc mint is represented with a horizontal pair with Brussels handstamp in type VII and type I. The 15 Cents Des Princes is further represented in a block of four from sheet positions 7,8 17 and 18, where field 17 shows grande surcharge. Other rarities include a block of six 10 Francs local handstamp and grande surcharge on 10 Cents typographed. The second volume contains many very good cancels as well as a comprehensive run of boolekt panes. In all there is too much to list. This collection is a serious must on your viewing list. (A2)
1886-1925, fantastische Sammlung mit Schwerpunkt auf der Mols-Ausgabe und hier wieder auf den Drucken von Des Princes. Die Sammlung enthält viele hochwertige Stücke, die leicht separat verkauft werden könnten, aber wir sind der Meinung, dass die Integrität dieser Sammlung nicht verändert werden sollte. Der Fokus des Sammlers lag auf hohen Werten, sodass es einen starken Teil des 5-Francs Kongo-Staat gibt, mit einem schönen ungebrauchten Viererblock und anderen, die mit Varianten und Fehlern beschrieben werden. Dabei auch etliche 10-Francs-Raddampfer, ein nicht angenommenes Essay der 3,50 Franc. Weiterhin gibt es ein Paar der 10 Francs ungezähnt, sowie eine 12:14 gezähnte 10 Francs ungebraucht und gebraucht, außerdem die Des Princes-Ausgabe komplette ungebraucht (25 Cent ohne Gummierung). Die 10 Francs sind auch ungebraucht mit doppeltem Aufdruck enthalten, ebenso wie natürlich eine Reihe der Heckradvarianten aus der Des Princes Tirage. Die 1-Franc ungebraucht ist mit einem horizontalen Paar mit Brüsseler Handstempel der Type VII und Type I dargestellt. Die 15 Cent Des Princes sind weiterhin in einem Viererblock vom Bogenfeld 7,8 17 und 18 enthalten, wobei Feld 17 einen großen Zuschlag zeigt. Weitere Raritäten sind ein Sechserblock der lokalen 10-Francs mit Handstempel und ein großer Zuschlag auf 10 Cent. Der zweite Band enthält viele sehr gute Abstempelungen sowie eine umfangreiche Auswahl Markenheftchen. Alles in allem gibt es zu viel, um es aufzulisten. Diese Sammlung ist ein ernsthaftes Muss auf Ihrer Besichtigungsliste. (A2)
